 Name: Thom Airs
Age: 28
Action: Quick opening bowler and right-handed recently promoted to number 10 bat.
Best bowling figures: 6-21
Best batting: 37*

When did you start playing for Dorch?
My first game was in the league in September 2000, the day after Steve Redgrave won his fifth Olympic gold. Tom Kitson and I were selected by Graham Howard.
Why did you choose this club?
It was my local village team. I used to watch and help with the scoreboard when I was younger.
Favourite Dorch memory?
Winning the Steve Dixon Cup Final in 2007 was great, as was watching our second team’s successful first season in 2012. Every tour has had its own memorable moments, though Newquay first time around, with an incredible win at Bugle, was probably my favourite.
Best thing about playing for Dorchester?
The team spirit is better than at any sports club I’ve ever known. We also have a great wicket at Dorchester and get to play at some beautiful grounds.

Name: Adrian Redhead
Age: 30
Action: Top order right-handed batsman and slow-medium swing bowler
Best bowling figures: 5-37
Best batting: 187*

When did you start playing for Dorch?
Lawrence Belcher recruited me from the Warborough friendly side in early 2000. I made my debut under the captaincy of Ian Ferris away at Great Horwood, scoring 30 odd and taking 3 wickets.
Why did you choose this club?
I was asked to play league cricket for Dorch by a number of players.
Favourite Dorch memory?
Many highlights - being made captain of the first team, scoring 187 not out for our Sunday side but without doubt winning and lifting the Steve Dixon Cup in 2007 is the biggest achievement of my life!

Best thing about playing for Dorchester?
All the other players. I have made many friends for life playing for Dorch. It also helps that the pitch is like a road and scoring runs is easy!
